"Why I Do What I Do..."

To have financial planning and Coleman/Quiner be a lifelong career was one of the best “decisions” I ever made, even if it was not exactly by design & in some ways feels more about this life having chosen me. But where else could I do what I love the most -- organizing, planning, and talking? Truly, I have discovered how much I enjoy, and hopefully excel at, taking what can feel complicated in the financial world, and making it easy to understand, straightforward to execute, and possible to keep good track of.

It is also why I have made caring for & about our clients in both big AND small ways a real mission in this life. The line between clients and friends has become wonderfully blurry, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

From a personal standpoint, a well-meaning relative one said I "would never get married as long as I was married to this company." I solved that dilemma by bringing my now-husband Dennis out of retirement to work WITH me! But it is a good thing to work alongside your best friend (& your cat) every day, even if they both claim I'm not always the nicest boss.

Our life does not provide much free time, but when we have some, you'll find me digging in our yard and picking dirt out of my fingernails, biking & running the streets of Johnston, chasing random raccoons off our property, or sitting with Dennis with a bourbon in one hand & industry newsletters in the other. Only the winter months drive us inside, to ESPN & crossword puzzles & endless hours of Spotify & a major case of cabin fever.
